Adventurers, take note! Here's a chance to take a vacation that gives back in a big way.
Small yacht cruise specialists Discovery Voyages will be donating one-hundred percent of the trip fees for a 5 day/4 night voyage in Alaska's Prince William Sound to Braided River.
Wildflower meadows, rainforest trails, calving glaciers, whale watching, photography, shore side hikes, kayaking and a whole lot more await anyone who chooses to take part on this classic voyage. Participants will experience the world-class beauty of Prince William Sound with just 11 other fellow travelers.
This adventure, which runs May 18 to 23, 2017, is $4,000 per person, all-inclusive. It includes two nights at bed and breakfast in Anchorage, and four nights on board the M/V Discovery.
Expert naturalists, including author Debbie Miller and Captain Dean Rand, will introduce you to the unique flora and fauna this region. Miller is author of two Braided River books, On Arctic Ground and Midnight Wilderness, as well as other books about Alaska for both children and adults.
The revenue generated by this trip will enable us to create a new book about a “wilderness worthy” swath of the Chugach National Forest known as the Nellie Juan-College Fjord Wilderness Study Area, to help rally the public support needed for this incredible 2 million acre wild land- and seascape to get the permanent protection it deserves.
This is an incredible opportunity to enjoy a memorable vacation and support important conservation work at the same time.
